I decided to publish my exhibition ‘Synthesis’ which I have been working with from year 2004.

The base of all the images have been real life. I have had intention to change that life to more suitable for my creative purposes. Technically I have worked with old negative or photoprint or ready made scanned picture or digitally photographed item.

Part of the photos I have taken with my digital SLR camera (Nikon D2X) but with an old pinhole camera technique. Especially this teachnique have fashinated me during the working process. When I make these images to prints, I usually use quite rough aquarell paper. It is possible to paint on the image with water colours. I have found very interesting to combine newest digital camera technique and old low tech techniques like pinhole camera and aquarell technique.

In most images there are not much left from the original photo. I just use original item as a material and source of inspiration. Sometimes this kind of creativeness could be quite hard, because as a photographer I often love my original pictures too much.

Abstract expression for me is not the only essential way to use pictures. But it is very interesting right now! -arz-
